Do the cops hold auctions of bikes and stuff they confiscate? If they do I would be keen to have a look.

Dunno what the normal practice is but anecdotally a friend of mine had her moto stolen last year, it had a GPS on it, went to the cops who tracked the perps down but they wanted $600 from her to get her moto back for their efforts.

Police are definitely cracking down on drug traffic and use in the community living along the railway line in Phnom Penh. This is the second large-scale police raid in a month: newsworthy/topic29662.html

I was asked to check over some laptops that a friend was buying from a couple of shady looking dudes, and they were all police confiscated. I don't think they have formal auctions, or at least this wasn't. There was a group of people picking over them at a cafe. My landlord was the po-po so presumably you can ask one.
