Siem Reap, Cambodia News: On June 10, 2019, the Office Against Trafficking and Minority Protection said that a woman suspect, Peat Mao, 23, a woman from Vihear Chen village, Siem Reap province, has been arrested for the traffic of five girls, aged from 10-15 years old.

The woman is accused of sending the girls to beg at the Old Market, Phsar Thmey from noon until the early hours of the morning, sometimes 3am. She is also accused of making the children pay her 10,000-20,000riel ($2.50-$5) every day from their begging money, and threatening them with beatings and forcing them to smoke drugs. She is also accused of pimping out the girls to sleep with foreigners who were looking for sex with children.
The suspect named has been detained following the order of Mr. Born Vannaret, prosecutor of the Siem Reap Court of First Instance, who continues to prepare and build a case file against the accused to send her to court according to the procedures.

Woman charged with soliciting children for foreigners
Siem Reap Provincial Court yesterday charged a woman who allegedly recruited five underage girls to beg money from foreign nationals or have sex with them in Siem Riep city.

Captain Pov Sreng, a department police officer, said that according to police investigations, Ms Mao in May recruited five girls aged between 10 and 15 years who were drug users from poor families in the city’s outskirts to work and stay with her at her rental house in the commune.

He said that every night between 7pm and 3am, the accused would take them to beg from foreigners frequenting pubs in the city.

Capt Sreng said that Ms Mao, who could speak some English, also offered the girls for sex and charged each client between $10 and $20 per session.

American Pedophile Under Federal Investigation, 5 Minors Aged 10-15 Rescued

Once again, an American pedophile is behind bars for child prostitution in Cambodia. It breaks our hearts to have to continue rescuing young girls from men like this, but we know there’s hope for the girls to have a future and life of freedom.

On May 22nd, 4 young girls aged 12-15 who were victims of an American named James Cline, along with another 10-year-old girl, were transferred to our Restoration Home by our SWAT Team.

All of the children had been trafficked and forced to beg for money from tourists by a woman who was already under investigation by Siem Reap Police and AIM SWAT for trafficking children in the area. On June 10, the investigation led to the identification of the suspect who was then charged with offenses related to child sex trafficking and child labor.

James Cline has been detained and a federal case is being prepared by the FBI to prosecute him following the results of his trial in Cambodia.

All 5 of the girls are receiving care and will be represented by our legal team in the upcoming court proceedings.

Yes, she have been doing the baby milk scam for many years. Last time I saw her was in Pub Street in august/september 2018 with a baby and a milk bottle.

Sadly she started with this scam when she was a little girl. Her on the left in this photo:

That's sad. She started as a victim, who then worked out how to play the system to improve her lot, and now she exploits others in the same way. Very fked up.
