Cambodia Breaking News (Kampot): According to social media, on June 30, 2019, people left large amounts of litter all over the park along the Kampot river after they held an exhibition there. Even though there many cleaners, they were unable to stop people from littering. The result was a disgrace, said commenters on social media.

They had a market and a concert sponsored by leo beer. Marker sellers and concert organisers should be held more responsible.

it takes the cleaners, the woman in green clothes with high vest in the 4th photob is one, about a week to clean up that area after each event and there usually is a group of around 10 cleaners.

Today, so only a few days to get rid. (Party/market finished on Sunday I believe)

Same people complain EVERY time there’s a market or concert but they never go and help pick it up.
They must have very empty angry lives.

I don’t ever see locals complaining.

They're the ones who cause the litter problem in Cambodia, and its just normal to them

Cambodia is the worst litter covered country I've been to. I remember last year travelling back into Phnom Penh by bus, and the outskirts were just like driving through a rubbish dump

Yes. Great place isn’t it.
If you want clean go to Singapore or go home. (Newcastle is very clean and the people are friendly. I sound like explorer..)

Don’t know why people are so angry or shocked when they see shit loads of rubbish piled up or floating down rivers.
If you really care about the issue work in a school to educate children. The adults are a lost cause.

Attitudes are changing. Slowly.

F'ing disgraceful mess left behind - so some old lefty came along next morning and cleaned it all up. (no names)
