Missionary Games at the Poipet Border Crossing

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

I heard of that fake police hut/ visa scam since then and it's ridiculous that it still goes on. What the hell kind of way is that to run things? How many millions have been lost because tourists' first impressions were of being scammed? It wouldn't surprise me if a whole lot of visitors have just turned around and exited as soon as possible without spending another red cent here?
the fake immigration hut is on the Thai side of the border, quite a few of the backpacker bus companies (ones that leave from Kaoh San Road area) all drop off in the carpark in front of if, then theres some "Khmer officials" stood outside waiting to lead everyone into the building, i went in once to have a look, you get handed a photocopied version of the immigration form and they ask for inflated prices too, i ended up telling everyone to leave and ill take them to the real immigration office, the "Official Officers" got pretty pissed off and aggressive lol
