Declaration of the: Cambodia Ex-pats Consulate in Wigan

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

Declaration of the: Cambodia Ex-pats Consulate in Wigan

Post by EdinWigan »

Declaration of the: Cambodia Ex-pats On-line Consulate in Wigan

I hereby declare my small mud hut in Wigan to have Honorary Consulate Status for the Cambodia Ex-pats On-line (CEO)

The new consulate will:

Promote CEO interests in Wigan

Arrange receptions for visiting dignitaries, such as the 'Fire Breathing One' 'King Cambod' and senior military figures.

Act as a focal point for increased trade between CEO and Wigan - Sharp wit and banter (CEO) and anything really to do with pies (Wigan)

Provide a Pie and a Pint for any members of CEO, who find themselves destitute in Wigan.

Promote CEO in Wigan (sort of think missionary work)

Collect Karma donations to help improve the life of all the residents of this small northern, English town (all donations welcome) Your donations will help prevent trouble u't mill.

Promote Rugby League amongst CEO members (although we all know the Aussies are far superior)
(and any Kiwi's reading this - Could we have Sam Tomkins back please)

Organise a campaign to have a 'Pie' icon added to the CEO icon list.

Other services, as requested by members on this thread or that we think of.

*****************************

I wonder how many other members of CEO are actually resident on other countries, than Cambodia?

How far do the tentacles of CEO reach. Maybe it would be nice to know and even create a world map that slowly colours CEO Blue to show how many of our members are not currently resident in Cambodia, although wish we were.

Well, you almost lost me, but once you started talking footy you won me over! Being a QUEENSLANDER by birth and all, I was brought up privileged enough to learn and play the greatest game of all. So I hope as long as your colour isn't blue that your embassy prospers and spreads the good word for a long time to come. Don't forget this Wednesday coming we have the hardest, toughest footy series in the world starting and I would just like to (not so) quietly pledge my allegiance, as always, to the MIGHTY MAROONS  and their quest for 9!!!

Wigan? Is that where the Luddites originated? :)

My ppl were from Skegness, East Lindsey, Lincolnshire, England. My mothers maiden name was from Viking origin.

A Pin Map is a great idea. :thumb:

And I would be Honoured to host the CEO Consulate from an Igloo in the 4th largest city in North America if so requested.
