Torn/ripped USD banknotes

Post by Mr.November »

Where would be the best place to exchange completely torn USD banknotes? I have 5 x $100 bills that are in 2-4 pieces each and stuck back together with a transparent tape (the notes are 100% complete), exchange shops tell me I can exchange each for $70, so that will cost $150... Is there any place, bank or shop that may offer better deal? Perhaps someone going to the US soon could take them in exchange for $450?

Thanks

Haha, yes a bit of argument. The iPhone is beyond repair, but cash still retains its value, and can be changed free of charge in the US as long as more than 50% of it remains.

Nobody seems to have asked the obvious question of how they ended up in that state in the first place. Have I missed something?
