Re: Introduce Yourself
Hello!
I've been a er for a little while and I've decided that maybe i should go ahead and create an account and post a little introduction. I'm hoping to be a little more active here and actually contribute a little bit if i can. This seems like a great place and the people seem to be a pretty good bunch. I suppose i will do the usual and post a little information about myself. I'm currently living in Yellowknife, Canada (Up above the 60th parallel, BRRRRR!). I really don't have a whole lot of experience abroad except for 6 years in U.S. (If you can really call that abroad) and a month in Colombia. I have decided to pull the trigger and finally go spend some time in Cambodia. I have never been there, but i have done quite a bit of reading and research and it seems like a great place to check out. I am initially planning to spend a year there and see how i like it. I've got money saved up but im still interested in working when i get there in the hopes that it might extend my trip a little longer. My background is in Logistics, but being 22 years old it's pretty obvious i don't have a ton of work experience. I've been surfing some of the career sites online and found some half-decent Logistics jobs that i qualify for but if need be i'll fight off a Khmer for a $200 a month job that requires some form of broken English. I'm really just looking for something different from where i live and hoping to gain some new life experiences. Anyway, i'm planning on getting there in April so if anyone would like to show me around and have a couple beers on me, let me know.
PS. I know writing isn't my strong point.

Nice intro, Sir Smashington. Welcome to the board.
Und der Haifisch der hat Tränen
Und die laufen vom Gesicht
Doch der Haifisch lebt im Wasser
So die Tränen sieht man nicht
In der Tiefe ist es einsam
Und so manche Träne fliesst
Und so kommt es dass das Wasser
In den Meeren salzig ist

If your going to pull the trigger, I think you are already on the FBI terr-ourist most wanted list. Will they let you out of the country.

Re: Introduce Yourself
we like to see a use a little more active in the regular section before granting access to that area... to make sure they're not just here to rabble rouse or expose posts there.Stoney wrote:Hello all....
I've previously introduced myself and really enjoy reading the variety of posts.
Can anyone help? I'm trying to access the VIP section without success. I've sent a couple of PM asking for access; how can I get this? Perhaps this area is reserved, however, it seems to suggest you PM admin foe permissions to be granted.
Thank you all in anticipation.
Best regards
Stoney
