The lady doth protest too much, methinks
Re: The lady doth protest too much, methinks
The OP has been watching too many Youtube videos and wanted to use his newly learned term "Virtue signalling".

lol, guilty as charged. Virtue Signalling might be the new way of calling it, however the quote in the title is a famous line in Macbeth, written by Shakespeare, in which the point is made that a person who tries too hard to convince others loses their own credibility. So, its not a new Concept. Your ad hominem attack is not of great assistance. (ohh, he watches too much you-tube and learned a new word and wanted to show off, so that makes the topic unworthy and stupid)
"The Lady Doth Protest too much, Methinks." explained a bit better here:ad hominem (hŏmˈə-nĕmˌ, -nəm)►
adj. Appealing to personal considerations rather than to logic or reason: Debaters should avoid ad hominem arguments that question their opponents' motives.
"By “protest,” the queen does not mean denial or objection. During Shakespeare’s time, the meaning of word was to “declare solemnly,” or to “vow.” So, Gertrude does not mean to “deny” or “object.” By this phrase, she meant that the woman tried too hard to convince the audience, losing her credibility. In simple words, her vows are too artful, too elaborate, or too insistent to be true. More cynically, Gertrude may imply that such affirmations are silly, and this may indirectly defend her own situation or remarriage."
I have seen people who's public persona and online persona are totally different. These might also be the type that think everyone else is also like this so they treat everything others say with suspicion. In fact, I have dissociated with people that I found creepy in their associations and personal live as I got to know them, who persist in presenting a totally different persona online, and often through this virtue signalling.
Totally hypocritical and a very thin veneer.

hahaVirtue signalling. Those who protest the loudest, carry the most guilt.
What do you think?
