9 Women Detained in Siem Reap Brothel Raid

Siem Reap, Cambodia News: Colonel Heng Heng, Siem Reap Anti-human trafficking and juvenile protection officer, said that at 9:15 pm, on 9th May, 2019, the police force raided a massage shop in Svay Dangkum Village. Large numbers of condoms, used and unused, were found on the premises, and nine women were taken into custody. The owner of the massage parlor, Winn Sreyrey, is reported to have escaped.

The police officers are preparing to send the nine women sex workers to the provincial social affairs department where they will be provided with education and skills to find another job.
