2 Iphones / 2 Watches stolen on Koh Rong Samloem - should we report it?

Ask us anything. Cambodia Expats Online has a huge community of long-term expats that can answer any question you may have about life in Cambodia. Have some questions you want to ask before you move to Cambodia? Ask them here. Our community can also answer any questions you have about how to find a job or what kind of work is available for expats in Cambodia, whether you're looking for info about Phnom Penh, Siem Reap, or anywhere else in the Kingdom. You're also welcome to ask about visa and work permit questions as well, as the immigration rules change often, especially since COVID-19. Don't be shy, ask CEO's community anything!

We try to report it in Phnom Penh, but the Police were not able or willing to do it and told us we have to report it in Sihanoukville. So we could not report it. And we had no time to travel back to Sihanoukville and try to report it there.

my father and i have different insurance companies, both payed without any discussion, after explaning the situation (island with no police, khmer new year and everything closed). So we got the some money back and the loss was not huge. Except the money they took from my father.

the phones were never again online, now we try to find the IMEI number to lock the phones at the cell carrier.

br, Genti
The phones were never online again. The phones have been sitting in a pawn shop ever since.
