Also I have a question for you: Babymetal. Y/N? ;-) ;-) ;-)
yeah Subscribe are a Hungarian band, went to go see them in Budapest! Great live

Babymetal??!! Love Babymetal, did a thread on them on here 4 years ago, been following them since 2013, went to see them a few times in 2014 after the release of their first album, Off to see them again in July :D

talking about band transformations, another band i like are LADYBABY which are similar to Babymetal, they originally went viral at the boom of the Kawaii Metal wave that Babymetal started,
their thing was the 2 girls sang kawaii metal and had some crossdressing fluent in Japanese Australian wrestler singing distorted vocals,

they then ditched Ladybeard (the white guy) and rebranded as just 2 girls called "The Idol Formally Known as LADYBABY", which was better and actually brought out an album but never really kicked off

...but a year ago reformed/evolved again as LADYBABY, but as a 4 piece girl metal group, Djent riffs and one girl sings distorted vocals, its actually really fucking good! And still Kawaii as fuck! (If they get some recognition outside of Japan they will give Babymetal a run for their money!)

Hmmm... interesting. Seems like pretty standard, pop-punk, Nirvana clone type stuff to me. They are the only band of the last 20 years you like?

Thank you for your comments, siliconelife. All I can think of right now is the Distillers' standard pop-punk, Nirvana clone type stuff. And of course Abby the non-methamphetamine afflicted Spoon lady.

Ladybaby are definitely rad in all forms, good call. But I have to admit, Nippon Manju skyrocketed to the position of probably my favourite Kawaii metal song of all time immediately. I showed it to an Aussie mate of mine involved in the wrestling industry and he said that he feels like Ladybeard "stole his life".

Is it me, or is the extreme vocalist in Ladybaby's final form with the short pink hair being dubbed?

Today's music sounds like industrial noise? I guess that remark was apt 23 years ago as well. Here's a track that would probably fall in the category you have in mind, but released on Industrial Strength Records in 1996 (the label was founded in 1991).

DJ Skinhead - Extreme Terror III

And a catchy but dark tune from last year by the Viagra Boys from Sweden, which does not sound industrial at all.

Was going to mention Viagra Boys, my favourite new punk band, for sure. Sports and Research Chemicals definitely worth listening to as well, even if they sound a bit more "industrial". That term has been gone so off-track in this thread...
