The mid sixties shows like Get Smart, Hogan’s Heroes, Jeannie, Beverly Hillbillies, Petticoat Junction, Green Acres were sharp and original.
I read somewhere that they came about because all the talented Jews and gays and commies were driven out of the film industry by McCarthysism.
