Chinese Man Arrested for Robbery at Poipet Money Exchange Shop

Poipet, Cambodia News: A 32-year-old Chinese Man, Li Shuai, was arrested for robbery at a money exchange shop, on April 28, 2019, in Poipet City, Banteay Meanchey. The victim was identified as Rum Sokhieun, a 34 year old woman and the owner of the shop.

Before the incident, the suspect went to the victim’s shop to change money and then he took out a knife to threaten the victim and stole the victim’s bag which was full of money. The Chinese man then tried to run away to escape, but the woman called for help and the police chased the suspect and detained him immediately.

The police confiscated a bag with 50,000 baht and also a knife. The suspect was sent to the police station for questioning and following the legal procedures.
