driving licence for motorbike. where?

Post by thold »

Local regulations forbid me to exchange my driving license (i got passport and driving permit in two different countries). I need a motorcycling license and I have to pass a test in Phnom Penh. My place is 2,5 hours to PP, so it's a complication. Can you recommend a proven driving school in Phnom Penh pls? One who has experience in driving licenses for foreigners and in which I will deal quickly and painlessly. It's just a driving license for a motor and I do not want to believe it's such a complicated matter.

Years back I used Mittapheap driving school to arrange my <125cc 'A2' license. They were great. Gave me multiple practice exams, study book and set up all the testing times and dates for me.

Or you could use "Call Kim" and she can personally walk you through the whole process.

Thanks guys, motorcycle is 250 cc. I am not a teenager and I don't need someone who will hold me by the hand. Rather, I mean settling the matter with a minimum of formalities. The thought of learning traffic laws makes me shiver. I got European motorcycle license & have been driving in Cambodia for five years - this is a matter of obtaining a local document, not driving lessons...

No one accused you of needing "hand holding" or "driving lessons"

The school that set up my testing dates, gave me practice exams not driving lessons.

Anyway, If you do a little research on this site via the search function, you'll see that the ministry that issues licenses has a website where you can schedule your own exams, written and practical, seeing as you don't need hand holding or lessons, why don't you just do that.

Yes, you can then drive any size motorbike. You could take the test on a smaller bike too if you want. Their laws here never make sense, I don't need to tell you that.

So it's really not possible to get it without testing anything but by paying a little more... ?
