Guess Who's Gone on Holiday

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

Sure, it's only a dollar, but the Cintri boys can be very aggressive when scamming that extra dollar. Ain't nobody got time for that.
Cintri itself scams people including every house in our neighborhood.

They put a $5 charge on our EDC bill every month but they have never serviced our area and our borey has private trash disposal.

We've been to the Cintri desk at EDC at least a half dozen times and they refuse to take it off our account. We never pay it but that means we can't pay online or by Wing, only in person, so it's an inconvenience.

That's pretty brazen. Let's hope the apparent cleaning of house catches up with practices like that, too. You might need to resort to photos on social media of people holding placards outside the EdC office near Wat Phnom.

My Cintri bill, on my EDC bill, is 3200 riel a month. not bad really...

Perhaps we should all heed the advice of City Hall and not dump rubbish at out usual preferred garbage receptical (huge pile at the end of the street)

Perhaps we should all take out rubbish to the gates of City Hall and dump it there. It would be very efficient for Cintri to collect from one location when they return to work and it might focus the attention of the bosses to the idiocy of suspending rubbish collection for the best part of a week.

As no factories and many businesses are closed for the period on KNY then logically the cuts should cease for the holiday period.

That is a logical expectation but is not guaranteed in KoW.
I didn't think of that....

Wing agents won’t do it, but what about if you get your own Wing account & use that to pay minus the EDC portion yourself? Never tried, but then all you need to do is deposit the cash at Wing (free) and then try to deduct the Cintri portion ... let us know how it goes :-)
