Phnom Penh, Cambodia News: An 18-year-old boy, Tang Seakheng, was arrested after trying to stab two police officers on April 08, 2019, at 12:45 am, in Meanchey village, Sangkat Steung Meanchey, Phnom Penh. The victims were identified as Suth Sina and Peng Kimmeng; both are police officers.

Before the incident, the officers received the information that a group of gangs were attacking each other. The police went to the scene to break up the fight, when suddenly the suspect took a knife and tried to stab the police. The local people defended the police by beating the suspect with a stick and detaining him to hand over to the authorities.

The suspect was sent to the police station for questioning, which revealed that the suspect was part of a gang of 3 robbers. He confessed that they had robbed a phone and money on January 22, 2019, and on January 26, they robbed a motorbike in Sangkat Beung Salang.

The case of the suspect was submitted to Khan Meanchey police station following the legal procedure, while the police search for the other two suspects.
