I want to clear up some misunderstanding about the Chinese

Ask us anything. Cambodia Expats Online has a huge community of long-term expats that can answer any question you may have about life in Cambodia. Have some questions you want to ask before you move to Cambodia? Ask them here. Our community can also answer any questions you have about how to find a job or what kind of work is available for expats in Cambodia, whether you're looking for info about Phnom Penh, Siem Reap, or anywhere else in the Kingdom. You're also welcome to ask about visa and work permit questions as well, as the immigration rules change often, especially since COVID-19. Don't be shy, ask CEO's community anything!

According to Dan Buettner (Bluezones), Singaporeans are one of the happiest societies in the world.

Singaporeans are quite fake and stuck up.
If you read the comments on SG groups about what they think of Cambodia, after that bitch on the GS killed that man, you’d be shocked.

They think they are superior, even above PRC Chinese.

Although I have never been to Singapore, I have always seen Singaporean Chinese as a different type of Chinese. Like the British are different from Australians or Americans. The Chinese people I have met in Taiwan and Hong Kong seemed helpful and friendly.

I was going to say "Like the yanks over the Poms " but then I thought someone may think that would be inappropriate or un politically correct to mark all Yanks in the same boat. So I will not make any comment..............

I’ve never thought Yanks are like that at all. I always thought they revered the British.

There you go bud! :thumb:

Anyway, what you were going to say, but said anyway, is asinine.

I don't personally think and have never met an American or heard an American say that Americans are superior to Brits...ever.

Quite the contrary...as a whole, it's my opinion that Americans consider Brits more / better educated, cultured, refined, tolerant, etc...

Maybe it's the snazzy accent that lulls us into a sense of inferiority, but it is what it is.

But Arget is one of CEO's frothing anti Americans so take that with a grain of salt. Did some burly Yank shove you into a bin when you were a wee lad, Arget?

WTF:

:please:
I, nor any American i have ever known or met has ever thought that.
Brits are just brits. no more, no less
same as anyone

EXCEPT the Chinese and I do agree
HK, Taiwanese, Singaporeans, Thai Chinese are not the same as mainlanders
In a nation run by swine, all pigs are upward-mobile and the rest of us are fucked until we can put our acts together: not necessarily to win, but mainly to keep from losing completely. HST

Yep, I tend to bite when I encounter bullshit.

Which you are adept at spewing.
