A question for Jamie

Have questions or resources regarding Khmer Culture? This forum is all about the Kingdom of Cambodia's culture. Khmer language, Cambodian weddings, French influence, Cambodian architecture, Cambodian politics, Khmer customs, etc? This is the place. Living in Cambodia can cause you to experience a whole new level of culture shock, so feel free to talk about all things related to the Khmer people, and their traditions. And if you want something in Khmer script translated into English, you will probably find what you need.

A question for Jamie

Post by Chamboy »

There is a song bird in Cambodia that locals call tao wao(or tow wow) assuming tow rhymes with wow. Do either you or your dictionary know the English? Thanks Chamboy.

I know you asked Jamie but he is not into feathered birds. It is Asian Koel and its call is indeed a little like tao wao.

"I know you asked Jamie but he is not into feathered birds."

Good point. Anyway I thank you for your help. Cheers.

Jamie is trying to prove that birds of a different feather can "flock" together.
