- Good news for all the startup enthusiasts and tech savvy people out there: BarCamp Cambodia is back! After three successful editions this year in Ratakanari in April, Kampong Cham in June and in Kampot in July, the Barcamp team adds on a fourth event.

This time the host will be the beautiful city of Siem Reap. The concept remains the same: empowering young Cambodians with talks from speakers sharing their entrepreneurial, tech or digital experiences. As usual, attendees will have the opportunity to interact directly with speakers, as this unconference format between the speakers and the audience is one of the specificities that made BarCamp so popular and recognized.

There will be 40 speakers from Cambodia, Thailand, Vietnam, Myanmar, Laos, USA, Singapore and Australia. They will cover various topics such as the use of technology for learning and communication or knowledge sharing about starting a business, defining a business model, understanding the customer, virtual media, marketing and business planning, and much more...

For its first time, Svay Rieng province will host series of workshops and forums on technology, business startups and job opportunity from June 29 to 30 at Svay Rieng University.

Branded as Barcamp Svay Rieng, the event is made possible through strong support from the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, and will allow participation free of charge.

Thirty well-rounded speakers from outstanding firms across Cambodia will walk participants, especially students, young entrepreneurs, and job hunters, through 45 different and hot topics during the two-day gathering.

Since 2013, the government through education ministry has supported the Barcamp – a part of regional and national initiative – already in eight provinces, including Siem Reap, Battambang, Kampong Cham, Stung Treng, Rattanakiri, Preah Sihanouk, Takeo and Kampot.
