The fake chinese monk strikes again

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

The fake chinese monk strikes again

Post by flying chicken »

Just left my house for work a few mins ago, saw the monk walked out of a house counting a quite a few 1 dollar notes and a mixture of 500, 1000 and 5000 riel notes and then walked into the house next door.

I reckon he is still in the neighborhood, he seems to know his game. I'll get the wife Samsung Galaxy when run into him again in the near future.

He doesnt do no harm btw. The Pinoys are worse. The 70 years old dude who scammed me out of 8 bucks a few weeks ago, he came around again for the 2nd time...trying to fool people again...he should feel lucky that the local told him politely to go away. And avoid the New Leaf Cafe Siem Reap -- runs by the pinoys using the name of poor Khmer people to get customers.

one thing is for sure he can tell a backpacker from an expat...he moved on very quickly when he asked me...and i have seen him linger near tourists and wait for them to get a picture for $2
