Bangkok

Thailand is Cambodia's neighbor to the West, and this forum is dedicated to Thai news, stories, reviews, blogs, videos, Thai people and anything else related to the country. A lot of expats have both lived and worked in Cambodia and Thailand, and this area is a place to discuss all aspects of life in Thailand and what's going on there. Most topics are about Bangkok and Pattaya because of their larger populations of expatriates and tourists in those cities, but this is for all things Thai.

Try the Vertigo at Banyan Tree hotel. I went there once for my friend's bachelorette party. From there, you get a magnificent view of the city. This is five-star rooftop restaurant has a delightful ambience. Their menu includes exquisite Asian cuisine such as crisp lobster ring with mango chutney, duck tagine, ocean bass on a bed of dauphinoise potatoes, with Thai tea crème brûlée to wrap up, etc. Me and my friends had a gala time there.

Maybe you were flying from Don Muang, but anyone on a short business trip with not too much luggage and flying out of Suvarnabunmi I'd strongly recommend using the Airport Express Rail Link, use a taxi to the nearest Sky Train or MRT station and then connect from there. I use it all the time and it's an excellent service. about 40 minutes from the center of Bangkok, costs bugger all as well. You can download a very user friendly App Map of the system with the stations, lines and connection points.
Yes sir, I can boogie, I can boogie, boogie, boogie all night long.

Your Khmer staff get visa exempt entry under the bilateral agreement between Asean member states, but their entry will be stamped "employment not permitted". They are allowed to stay for 15 days and are in the primary group for being asked to show a return ticket, accommodation booking, and Bt20,000 cash on arrival in order to gain entry. People using a large number of visa exempt entries are now being regularly denied entry at Don Mueang and Suvarnabhumi, even with the onward ticket and cash.

As far as bars, there's obviously more qualified respondents on here than me going by some of the replies, but there is quit a lot of new development in the On Nut/ Phrom Pong area and I may have seen a sign for a new rooftop bar at On Nut yesterday on the opposite side to the Tesco mall.
right, try getting all the paperwork for a NON B visa together,(PS to get one u need be applying for a WP) for a 2 day trip, coming in on a visa exempt entry, (issued to 55 nationalities) even attending meetings, signing some papers, is all cool.

Worse than a traffic jam indeed!

Last time I had a 5 hr layover in Suvarnabhumi, just after they'd introduced the smoking ban, I made the mistake of heading out of the airport for a few beers and a smoke, took me about 90 minutes to get back in through Immigration and security! Made it to the gate just 25 minutes before departure, I will not try that again.

Left the office at 5pm. Was back at 5.59pm. Total distance travelled 9.8km. Read the above. That's hardly halfway to Don Mueang. I do the trip every two weeks. I know the usual travel time. Suit yourself though.

Thank you all for the replies. Our clients wanna fuck some Thai hookers. Where should we take them? Any ping pong show to start off the night?
We're gonna have drinks/ dinner at the Marriott. Anything in that area?
I really need to close that deal. Thanks in advance.
PS: Siam mall is madness. Wish there was anything like this in cambodia. McDonald's and Jamba Juice totally hit the spot.

Thanks PR! Ended up going to Soi Cowboy. Not as sketchy and weird as riverside. Went to midnite and soi cowboy 2.

I don't think our clients have ever been to anything like this. Could describe last night this way: an Australian, a Malaysian, a Kenyan, and a Cambodian guy walk into a bar...
