Foreign Man sitting Alone on Riverside Targeted by Bag Snatch Gang

Post by CEOCambodiaNews »

Phnom Penh, Cambodia News: Two Cambodian women, identified as Chenda, 25-years-old, and Seng Sopheap, aged 20, preyed upon a foreign male tourist, stealing his bag as he was sitting alone on the riverside, on the evening of 20 March 2019, in Daun Penh district of Phnom Penh.

However, later that night near Psar Kandal, (Kandal Market), the victim recognized the two women who had snatched his bag, so he called the police to detain the women. The two suspects, suspected of belonging to a habitual gang of thieves, denied snatching the victim's bag. However, the foreign man said one of that woman came to chat him up him, while the other woman snatched his bag, and others in the gang beat him up.

After the incident, the foreign man said he didn't want to make any more problems or press charges, so he let the police reeducate the suspects and he went on his way.

At least they didn't steal his shirt, like they usually seem to do. 8)

They look kinda thin, small, and scrawny compared to the victim. How did he get beaten up by these jaow women. Sucker punched?

And why wouldn’t the victim want his bag (with presumably all his valuables) back?

Strange.
