The Final Countdown

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

The Final Countdown

Post by TOG »

As the "Will Brexit hurt you" thread is getting a bit derailed, I thought that for the next week or so, members like Yorkie would appreciate the opportunity to voice their opinions on what will happen.

My own very humble (almost Uriah Heep humble) opinion:- a motion for the rescinding of Article 50 will be tabled next week.

Reasons? Parliament has already voted against a No Deal Brexit. TM stands little chance of getting an extension unless Parliament votes for a second referendum very, very quickly.

So in the event of no extension the options for the 29th March (should have been the 15th March) are crash out (Parliament has already said no), accept TM's pathetic deal (Parliament has said no) or stay in (Motion needed to rescind Article 50).

That's my bet, staying in as planned all along by a very intelligent women who is prepared to take a bullet to keep the UK in the EU.

Regardless if they get a short or long extension, the outcome will still be the same.
They don't have the balls to go it alone..
Funny it takes years to prove the fact.
