Is it now time that someone let our Khmer friends know about...

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

Is it now time that someone let our Khmer friends know about...

...the advantages of reversing into a parking space?

Let's face it, they're going to find out sooner or later, and when they do, they won't thank us for keeping it to ourselves.
The difference between animals and humans is that animals would never allow the dumb ones to lead the pack.

You should know, most Cambodians are always right. If you tell them there is a better way, they will argue that they are right. I can think of a thousand ideas which would improve Cambodia, but they will ague the way it is done now is right.

Some people call it saving face. If they are wrong, they lose face, so they always argue they are right.

This is probably the biggest barrier to Cambodia improving.

There are a small proportion of students open to new ideas, and want to improve Cambodia, but those in power dont want you to tell them what to do.

If you dont believe me, go and explain to a tuk tuk driver that people dont like them when they are obnoxious, and see how far you get.

Or just go and explain your idea to one parking assistant, and try to get it implemented.

Yea, I know what you mean. See it happen every day on CEO forum.
Cambodia,,,, Don't fall in love with her.
Like the spoilt child she is, she will not be happy till she destroys herself from within and breaks your heart.
