Child Dies in Suspected Food Poisoning by Fish
Siem Reap, Cambodia News: On March 12, 2019, at 6:16 pm, three young boys were diagnosed with food poisoning in Don Ou village, Leang Dai commune, Angkorthom district, Siem Reap. A 7-year-old boy, Tok Vanndy, died on the way to the hospital, and other two, Cheng Hongkheang, 6-year-old and Cheng Hongkhim, 5-year-old, recovered at the hospital after treatment.
According to a 39-year-old man, Kaek Tok, and Lem Saroun, a 29-year-old woman, at 6:15 pm that evening they all had dinner together; a meal of steamed fish and some watermelon.
But then after the meal, the three children weren't feeling too good, suffering from headaches and throwing up. They were sent to the Kantha Bopha hospital. Unfortunately, one of the children died on the way.
The police, the Camcontrol officer and the district doctor went to the scene to examine the case of the 3 children and determined that they were victims of food poisoning. The specialized police are searching for the cause of the poisoning.

Steamed fish, eh? Not a good idea to begin with. Such "food" should be cooked thoroughly and steaming will often not do that. That's my understanding anyway until I'm corrected.

The difference between animals and humans is that animals would never allow the dumb ones to lead the pack.

Sushi is saltwater fish, salmon being fresh/salt was never ate raw till recently(except for the bears that is, and maybe the Eskimos). I suspect this was fresh water fish.xandreu wrote: ↑Fri Mar 15, 2019 9:29 pmSushi?undertheradar wrote: ↑Fri Mar 15, 2019 2:15 pm Steamed fish, eh? Not a good idea to begin with. 5 people eat the same thing, but only 3 come down with any symptoms. Not even mild issues for the adults? But the 3 are kids, who may well have been messing with something else, as kids do.
