When you get to the stage of drinking your beer and food through a straw , then you have problems.
Cambodia,,,, Don't fall in love with her.
Like the spoilt child she is, she will not be happy till she destroys herself from within and breaks your heart.

When I buy beer in some shops they try to give me a bunch of straws, WTF? I don't want them or those mini spoons they give you when you buy yogurt/ ice-cream.
Silence, exile, and cunning.

It’s only certain places. Mekong river restaurant and Cadillac, those were creeper places to avoid.Jamie_Lambo wrote: ↑Thu Mar 14, 2019 3:42 pm
its not creepy to sit alone outside a riverside bar/restaurant, just because you get the odd creep down there, in most circumstances i dont think its creepy to sit alone anywhere, sometimes its nice to be alone
Everyone knows Jamie that you’re not the sexpat creeper anyway and tend to avoid hostess bars in general.

Real men do not suck on straws. I guess if they are sitting alone, on riverside, sucking on straws; that's creepy then.John Bingham wrote: ↑Fri Mar 15, 2019 8:08 pmWhen I buy beer in some shops they try to give me a bunch of straws, WTF? I really hate the way people use words like 'creepy' to insinuate something sinister. It's such a judgmental way of speaking.
To me, 'creepy' is when someone acts in a way that displays ulterior motives that are morally apprehensive which have the potential to cause harm to others who don't or can't consent to those motives. Whatever those motives may be.
We've all lived different lives with different life experiences which have resulted in different ways of thinking, acting, observing and feeling. Calling, or insinuating that someone is 'creepy' simply because they sit alone outside a bar is just silly.
I often sit alone in coffee shops while I'm working on my laptop. I do it because I find it easier and more productive than working from home. If I worked fully from home, alone, I probably couldn't get through a couple of hours without firing up some porn and having a quick 'thomas the tank'. There's too many distractions when working at home alone. As I'm sure anyone who's ever tried it will testify.
Does that make me 'creepy'? No. It makes me a normal, healthy guy who's aware of his natural behavior, realizes how unproductive it is, and takes steps to minimize the impact it might have on his work.
To insinuate that someone is 'creepy' simply because they sit alone outside bars is (a) trying to pretend that they're somehow morally superior to them - or/and (b) insinuating that what they might be up to doesn't involve consenting adults who are fully aware of any given situation.
Many people, especially men, and especially older men with more life experience, enjoy their own company. Maybe they've had a shit time of it and simply prefer their own company. Maybe they've been through a disastrous divorce that's means they're left devoid of any trust in humanity. There are a million reasons why a man, especially a man, given the current PC climate, might decide that life is best enjoyed alone, sitting at a bar, watching the world go by.
To insinuate that there's something 'creepy' about it displays a complete lack of maturity, compassion and understanding towards people who just so happen to have not lived a similar life to yours.

When people make judgements like this, it says a lot about the person making the judgement, and very little about the person they are judging.
So this says a lot about Cam Nivag, and very little about the people sitting outside riverside bars.
So Cam, this is one of the reasons a lot of people have negative feelings about you.
I hope you are learning. I hope you will stop the negative comments, and make more positive contributions in the future.
