that Khmer power thing

I call it acting superior.

It plays out in many aspects of life.

If you take people to a restaurant, they will photograph the food and post it on facebook to display the good food they are eating.

If you give money to a poor person, they will brag about it to all their friends.

It is common to see boys hitting each other.

They will throw rubbish everywhere except their own home.

On the road, they dont give way to others. They always go first if they can.
It's some just some people. Just like in every other country. My best guests are Khmer people. They arrive in their $200.000 Mercedes or Lexus making me think my place will not be good enough for them but they couldn't be more nice and always leave my villa more clean then it was before. They talk to me when something bothers them so I can find a solution (instead of waiting till they can write a bad review). They've never acted superior to me or thrown rubbish all over. Great guests.. and they return.
just noise, white noise
