That was later. I was so excited I didn't burn down the place I forgot to take a pic of the finished product.Arget wrote:Where is the spag???????????????????????????????????????/
Yeah, I corrected that the second time as well. It's a start.Phnom Poon wrote:An easy beginner's mistake
You need to add more tomato puree

Spaghetti, that's another one my kids love and are very good at cooking it. It's a pity you have waited a lifetime to learn how to cook it.General Mackevili wrote: ↑Sat Feb 23, 2019 7:01 pm I tried cooking spaghetti for the first time in my life this week. Twice.
A massive object that I've been picking at for many days.
First time didn't have enough sauce or even onions, and corrected that the second round. Enough garlic to keep vampires off me even in the afterlife.
Will try it again this weekend, but will add even more meat. I went with 600 grams the last two times, and I'm aiming for just over a kilo this time.
I even threw some salmon in it a few times.
I've even discovered something called VEGETABLES, which are nice in small doses. A Google search reveals that these things grow naturally from the ground and people consider them 'healthy,' whatever that means.

You might want to throw some oregano and basil into your sauce.

I was inspired by your Italian buddy in Bangkok to try to cook pasta after his place was serving us loads and loads of meat. He would say 1 kilo is probably not enough, LoL.

Re: Epic fail....
looks like WAY to much puree
510 grms Tomato puree is plenty
add in 2 8 oz jars spaghetti sauce ( i use prego 1 original, 1with mushrooms) 1 kilo ground beef, ( lean)
2-3 medium sliced tomatoes, mushrooms, ( 8 oz canned if cant get fresh), sliced garlic simmered in butter, 1/2 small sliced Onion simmered in butter, green pepper, red Capsicum
spices to taste, (pepper, salt, onion slat, Oregano, Rosemary leaves,Basil)
needs cook on low heat at least 90 minutes after the meat is added with adding water as it boils off
stir often

In a nation run by swine, all pigs are upward-mobile and the rest of us are fucked until we can put our acts together: not necessarily to win, but mainly to keep from losing completely. HST

Yeah, but that would require making a 'grocery list.' I'll be lucky if I remember to buy a big ol onion today.Username Taken wrote: ↑Sat Feb 23, 2019 7:53 pm You might want to throw some oregano and basil into your sauce.

I used a whole box of 500 grams of spaghetti. Still seemed light on the sauce.phuketrichard wrote: ↑Sat Feb 23, 2019 8:02 pm looks like WAY to much puree 510 grms
