BugZone: Nothing's perfect...

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

Then again, when I look it up on my android phone with the chrome app the video shows up fine.

Any suggestions?
Problem at your end I'm afraid.

Chrome browser on my laptop shows the FB video just fine.

I hate to start with the basics, but maybe best to start by clearing your browser cache.

I just checked, and I can see it embedded on Chrome Mobile and Chrome Desktop, and as a link on TapaTalk, so that would lead me to believe it's an issue on your end. Try clearing your cache and see if it starts working, and let us know if not.
Cleared the cache and restarted the browser but still doesn't show..

Hmmm, I'm not very helpful if a cleared cache doesn't do anything. Do you have any crazy settings in your browser? Maybe to block things? I can't think of any general reason why it wouldn't be displaying for you on one device and not the other. Rebooting everything might also help, but it definitely seems like it has to be on your side, as it wouldn't be working for others if there was an issue of it being embedded on our side. Let us know if you ever figure out what's causing it and sorry we can't give more assistance.

I can. Because, it is a problem with one device and not the other.

Have you been able to see FB vidz previously?

See if you can update Chrome.
Or, uninstall Chrome, reboot, then reinstall Chrome.

Thanks for replies General, Username taken, and Phuketrichard.

So I updated chrome and still no good.

Then I temporarily paused my anti virus Kaspersky and it worked!

However, I've gone through the settings in Kaspersky and can't for the life of me find where to allow these FB videos. Anti banner is the logical one and I have allowed FB as a trusted site but still no good. I give up scouring through all the settings for this.

I can see still see a space allowed for a FB vid on the CEO post so I know it's there and can either disable kaspersky temporarily or simply and easier, just check it on the mobile.

cheers

What happened to the post preview thingy, where if you hovered your mouse pointer over the post topic you could read the start of the post without clicking into it? It's been gone for a little while now. Annoying because some posters use deliberately tricky/clickbaity topics for their posts.

Actually if you hover over the topic, the username who started the thread, and the sub forum, you get "Unread posts". So there is definitely something wrong there.

To find it put the chrome log console in verbose mode. There's likely a JQuery update that addresses this.
