Introduce Yourself

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

I'm a happy traveler who enjoys beach-bumming.
Show me a nice beach with clean sand and ocean, cool bars and restaurants with nice food and cold beer, reasonably priced accommodation with clean mattress and bedding, a good used book shop, a thriving wet market, and i'll probably hang around.
Welcome aboard! You definitely need to check out some of the islands off the coast of Cambodia, if you haven't already. :thumb:

Hello, I'm no expat but I come to Cambodia once or twice a year for the last six years. I,m 52 old dutch guy living in Amsterdam and planning to come to Cambodia in the future. My favorite places are Phnom Penh and Sihanoukville, I like the nightlife and the beach and hope to find some useful information on this forum. I hope to meet some members in the future. I will be back in December and February. :beer3: Ralph

Welkom op het bord, Ralph.
Und der Haifisch der hat Tränen
Und die laufen vom Gesicht
Doch der Haifisch lebt im Wasser
So die Tränen sieht man nicht

In der Tiefe ist es einsam
Und so manche Träne fliesst
Und so kommt es dass das Wasser
In den Meeren salzig ist

Hi all

I'm new here but have visited the Kingdom a number of times, the last trip being three years ago with my son and his friend.

I'm returning during November with the intention of deciding if it's somewhere I'd like to spend a lot more time in the future (probably 6+ months per year).

I will be staying in PP initially before travelling around a bit; possibly Sihanoukville, Kampot and Kep.

I'm sure it's changed somewhat in the last few years but I hope to get an opportunity to meet a few fellow members for a beer during my trip.

Best regards

Good stuff!

You don't have to be an expat, the CEO is for anyone interested in Cambodia.

We were going to call it Cambodia Tourists Online, but CTO is a shitty acronym, LoL.

Have fun here!
