1yo Baby Boy Found on Phnom Penh Garbage Dump

Phnom Penh, Cambodia News: On the evening of February 12, 2019, local inhabitants found a little boy, aged about 1 year old, crying at the garbage dump near Prampi Makara high way, Sangkat Psar Depo, Khan Toul Kok, Phnom Penh.

The police went to the scene and searched for the boy's parents, but there was nobody around to take care of him. It is suspected that he has been abandoned. The police decided to take the boy to the Ministry of Social Affairs to get him looked after while they search for parents or relatives.

Oh FFS - could they not have at least abandoned him at the pagoda, which is what happens with unwanted puppies and kittens?

Poor kid. I wonder what will actually happen to him. They hardly have the best social welfare if we’re honest with ourselves.

Yeah, he looks big and healthy. Clean clothes, hands, feet and face, if that's the way he was found, someones been taking care of him.

Maybe a very immature mom or dad is acting out their resentment or displeasure about something or other.

two girls i know heard a child crying one night when they were walking home from work,on a door step was a new born baby,they did the right thing and looked after and brought up the child,on there 2nd visit to a clinic they were told the child had club feet,why the 1st one never noticed

.Still they kept the baby and with a help of a few friends managed to get the $280 to give young Chai a chance in life,not seen the little chap for 3yrs,but the last time i saw him he was running around on the Riverside like every other child,hope this youngsters finds loving adoptive parents.
