Re: Lazy Passapp Drivers.
You sound very entitled.
Are you not strong enough to put a bag inside a boot of a car?...
You're paying for a driver using one of the cheapest options available to you, what kind of service do you expect? Lol... People.
Edit - p.s passapp does have a rating out of 5 stars, I'm not sure if it's for every single driver but I've certainly seen and used it before

Slow down little world, you're changing too fast.
Re: Lazy Passapp Drivers.
You actually get to rate the drivers (right when the ride ends. You ave about 5 seconds to rate him...). I recently had an issue with one PassApp driver. This scamming POS thought I was born yesterday and terminated the ride without telling me half-way through the ride. Once we got to the location, fuck face told me that "da app no wuk". He didn't think that I could just check my phone and see when he actually terminated the damn ride. I gave him a dollar and politely asked him to kill his entire family first then himself (course is around $2. I do it every day).StroppyChops wrote: ↑Tue Feb 12, 2019 2:03 pm While not endorsing the comments of the OP, I still wish the PassApp app had a rating system to review each driver, such that if a driver received sufficient negative reviews they lose their PassApp credentials. Also, I wish you could block specific PassApp drivers from accepting your requests - so, the ones with apps or phones that mysteriously stop working, take you via the scenic routes, start the timer before they actually arrive, show you a screenshot of a much higher fare ... those ones. Apparently they get to rate the paying customer, so why not allow the customer to rate the driver?
I emailed PassApp and explained the situation. They said that they've had issues with that particular driver in the past and told him to stop scamming people. Whoever I talked to ended the conversation with "we will tell him not to do that again." That was it. No accountability. No sense of customer service. Nothing. PassApp is cheap for a reason.
All in all, the rating system they put in place is, like most things in KOW, just for show. It's the illusion that you're dealing with western quality products/ services.

Yep, we've complained to the company before and been given almost literally that exact same response - "we will ask him not to do like that" - which would require him to apply several days of Tiger Balm to soothe the burn.Queef wrote: ↑Tue Feb 12, 2019 2:59 pm Whoever I talked to ended the conversation with "we will tell him not to do that again." You're right about the rating system, it's right up there with "How's my driving? Please call..." which you see on the back of every vehicle that bullies you off the national roads.

Damn. I thought I was special. I thought only I deserved such a high level of poor customer service. Oh well... Let me get some of that tiger balm then!StroppyChops wrote: ↑Tue Feb 12, 2019 3:19 pmYep, we've complained to the company before and been given almost literally that exact same response - "we will ask him not to do like that" - which would require him to apply several days of Tiger Balm to soothe the burn.Queef wrote: ↑Tue Feb 12, 2019 2:59 pm Whoever I talked to ended the conversation with "we will tell him not to do that again." The "How's my Driving?" sticker in Cambodia is a perfect example of "Let's import an idea that will never work in Cambodia but that will make outsiders feel safe." Come on man... How's your driving? How's your fucking driving?! You call this driving?! If I were to choose between a drunk driving college kid and a sober Virak Buntham bus driver, I would probably choose the drunk kid. At least he/ she would let me drive if I'm persuasive enough.
Now OP, based on all the nice things we've said about PassApp, do you still think that old boy was gonna get out of his 20 year old Lexus and put your luggage in the trunk? Really? Don't let the glitters and sparkles blind your judgement. It's still Cambodia.

I love this, overloaded badly maintained trucks driven by meth-heads with ' Rate Me. How's My Driving ?Phone ****' on the back. Who said Cambodians have no sense of irony.StroppyChops wrote: ↑Tue Feb 12, 2019 3:19 pm

Did anyone ever try to call one of these numbers ?

The only time I saw that sticker, the number was a 1-800 number.Anchor Moy wrote: ↑Tue Feb 12, 2019 3:47 pmI love this, overloaded badly maintained trucks driven by meth-heads with ' Rate Me. I thought they were just using some random no anyway. " Sorry, the number you have dialed is not connected... Re: Lazy Passapp Drivers.
There isn’t really such a thing as PassApp drivers and grab drivers. Most drivers are registered on both apps and alternate between them depending on which one is offering fares nearby.pczz wrote:There was a big promo for grab in Aeon. then 2 night ago i got to see their quality driving. 2 going the wrong way down 51 completely blocking the road and some appalling driving elsewhere. I though passap were bad enough but from what i seen so far Grab must be employing drivers sacked by passap for bad driving!fax wrote: ↑Tue Feb 12, 2019 4:16 am Grab is cheaper and you can cancel ongoing fares.
I don't think that you should tell tuktuk drivers that they're going out of business. It's not a very nice thing to say. You can't blame them for trying to earn money through honest work.
If instead he put the luggage in the trunk we would read about the crazy driver who manhandled your precious Gucci and you probably had your best Chinese teapot in there... Relax

I see it like that. If Rickybobby is an older guy, he may have problems lifting heavy items. Then it’s at least a matter of respect to lift his bags. On the other hand if he is in good shape, it’s not worth the trouble. Then again if it’s common procedure in Cambodia that the driver puts the bags inside, like anywhere in the world, then RickyBobby has a right to complain, although maybe not worth it.

Re: Lazy Passapp Drivers.
I don't have a problem lifting my bags. I'm fit and healthy. Passapp is new to me. Uber is not. Neither are taxi's all over the world. And together with every TukTuk I have ever taken, they assist with the bags. (Bellhops do also in the better hotels I stay in and I appreciate it and have come to expect that also) I may have been mistaken to assume this driver was lazy; perhaps they are all the same and none will get out to do it. As I said, if that expectation is wrong though, I can easily adjust my expectations. I can also choose not to hire a car and order a tuktuk who as I said gladly takes my bags, every time! In the end, if the car drivers don't want to step up, its going to be their loss. I am not entitled, nor new to Cambodia or world travel. I just expected something different. Its not an issue of the cost, and if passapp doesn't pay the driver enough, that needs to be settled. I like ordering passapp because its like a metered ride, there is no harassment for my business and no need to negotiate. I would prefer to pay for convenience and comfort and also prefer a car. That's not entitled, its like preferring to go to a restaurant with a better selection of good food and excellent service.DrRawBlueGreen wrote: ↑Tue Feb 12, 2019 4:52 pm I see it like that.
