Moving to / Teaching in Cambodia?
Moving to / Teaching in Cambodia?
Hello everyone,
I am trying to move to Cambodia from USA. Any advice on finding employment without being there? Online keeps saying you need to be in country to apply for positions,
but that sounds intense if I can't find one. It would start as a teacher and do some NGO work as well. Is it easy enough to find work when you get there?
Thanks--any advice and connection help

Yes, this is because Cambodian businesses don't really do email and they don't want to waste time corresponding with prospective teachers who may or may not ever show up in the country. Also, appearance is really fucking important to them. They're not going to hire you sight unseen.

In a nation run by swine, all pigs are upward-mobile and the rest of us are fucked until we can put our acts together: not necessarily to win, but mainly to keep from losing completely. HST
