Not wanting to make light of the possible deaths in another thread, but wishing to continue the discussion on what constitutes a truck.
Here's a handy guide for those of you that haven't completed your Man Card as yet.

No. Utility vehicle. You'll probably even find that on the manufacturer's plate. In Australia, we shorten it to Ute, but you have to lower your voice an octave each time you say Ute (just that word), and pronounce it "eeyoot". More traditionally, "eeyoot mate". If it's a friend's, and you're admiring it, you respond with "maaaaate". If you want to playfully offend them, suggest they should have bought a Jeep. This calls into question their gender preference, which is part of all good mateship rituals in Australia, regardless of their or your gender preference.

If a Ford F-150 isn't a 'truck' then I don't know what is!

this is one of those hood/bonnet trunk/boot things.
its a fucking pickup truck here.
can have similar conversations all over the uk just about what locals call a chip butty. i can drive 50 miles and get laughed out of the chippy for asking for a chip butty. bet jamie lambo calls them a chip barm or a bap or a roll.

But bap is an old-world word for breast, so that makes no sense... Why would you drive 50 miles to get laughed at by a chippy?la8rat wrote: ↑Fri Feb 08, 2019 6:56 pm this is one of those hood/bonnet trunk/boot things.

is it fuck, Bap is the name for a bread roll, Baps is just a slang term for breasts because they look like baps, not the other way roundStroppyChops wrote: ↑Fri Feb 08, 2019 7:34 pmBut bap is an old-world word for breast, so that makes no sense... Seeing as youre an aussy you would struggle to imagine the fact you can drive 30 minutes down the road and have everyone speak with different dialects and accents,
i feel @la8rat's pain, going to the Chippy in England depending on where you are and where youre from can be a pain in the arse when ordering...
Whether you ask for a chip butty or Cob or Bap or Roll or Barm cake or Tea cake or Bread Cake or Stotty or Scuffler or Bun,
then youve got the stress of whether to ask for Scraps or Scrumps or Bits,
then you have to make the right choice of Sauce or Gravy or Curry Sauce or Cheese or Beans/Peas,
get any of these wrong and you will just get a look of disgust that states "Yer not frum rand ere ah ya"
we rest our case....
