I want to clear up some misunderstanding about the Chinese
Re: I want to clear up some misunderstanding about the Chinese
Don't confuse "bogunism" with nationality, no country has the mandate on "bogunism!" I cannot comment on some (possibly?)low class Chinese landlord being a problem, but this could apply to similar Khmer landlords, its more a problem of class rather than ethnicity. My condo is owned by Chinese, and many of the occupants in my units are Chinese and they are very polite and we always get on amicably. Of course if I have a problem, I deal with condo reception and not the owner, but any problems I have are fixed pretty much immediately, and if I have any suggestions re improvement they are considered and often acted upon.RickyBobby wrote: ↑Thu Feb 07, 2019 10:06 pm I can always tell when my Chinese landlord is in the house, he has his phone glued to his ear, and is talking so loud. Constantly. I notice it is a prevalent practice, the Chinese have no sense or need for a private conversation; they do it on the train, on planes, and everywhere. Loudly. How come they don't seem to notice or care that it annoys the people around them?

I feel there’s a lot of negativity and racism towards the Chinese. Not just what’s happening in SIhanoukville but generally and not only recently either.
There’s still the butthurt (thanks Jamie!) expats who were kicked out of SIhanoukville who cry crocodile tears for the locals.

I don't want to be rude, but a lot of people find that Americans talk really loud in public too.RickyBobby wrote: ↑Thu Feb 07, 2019 10:06 pm I can always tell when my Chinese landlord is in the house, he has his phone glued to his ear, and is talking so loud. But of course, not all Americans are like that, and neither are the Chinese. It's the loud ones that you notice.

Admittedly us A-mericans are a loud bunch, especially drinking alcohol, however I found the Cubanos to be the loudest, I jokingly ask my Cuban friend I dive with about it one time, she told me she bike rides with 10-12 Cuban dudes and they are so loud riding that a sudden burst of silence is shocking, she'll look over and see a hot chick walking down the road and all the guys are just staring her down saying nothing, when they get past they explode into conversation againAnchor Moy wrote: ↑Thu Feb 07, 2019 11:32 pmI don't want to be rude, but a lot of people find that Americans talk really loud in public too.RickyBobby wrote: ↑Thu Feb 07, 2019 10:06 pm I can always tell when my Chinese landlord is in the house, he has his phone glued to his ear, and is talking so loud. I'm sorry, man. All I can say is try to talk to him, If you do not communicate with him, he will never know you at some point very much dislike this kind of behavior.RickyBobby wrote: ↑Thu Feb 07, 2019 10:06 pm I can always tell when my Chinese landlord is in the house, he has his phone glued to his ear, and is talking so loud. However, there are times when you have to understand that there may be something really urgent after all.

Actually, about talking out loud. People feel particularly comfortable in their own, there is a sense of security and time. There's always something you can do. Just be comfortable.
In some places we call western restaurants, no matter how rude people are, I think they will become quiet.
Because everyone is quiet.

Dear KHCHINATD,KHCHINATD wrote: ↑Wed Feb 06, 2019 10:26 pmThe Chinese who come here, I mean those who work in some casinos, or do some other illegal work here.
A lot of those who work in casinos are misinformed about hiring and are unscrupulous brokers,They recruited people from China in a fraudulent way.
Most of those who have been cheated are of low quality, unable to find work or even run up huge debts in China.
I don't defend them, because they're just using their casino license to wire fraud.
I have heard that they got (some of) their Chinese workforce from Chinese prisons, where they promised prisoners (with a remaining 3 year sentence) to come and work for 1 year at SHV in order to relieve them from further imprisonment. Can you verify this?

We thank you for your presence.KHCHINATD wrote:I speak only for my own views.
Other Chinese may come to the community in the future
Because CEO is not Chinese, don’t worry, no other Chinese will be coming to the community, now or in the future. China is the Middle Kingdom, the perfection between heaven and earth. Therefore everyone wants to be Chinese.

I suggest members treat this poster with respect in order to foster honest discourse which is very rare.
We need to build bridges with people from PRC.
I will be the first to admit my own fault in this in the past.
Please OP do not take the rudeness personally.

Um... that was a little tongue in cheek.
My parents are devoted fans of CCTV and completely believe the PRC world view.
I on the other hand watch NTD.
