Update
I ended up buying the sausages in Dan's Meats after the suggestion here.
They were tasted yesterday and seemed OK so the main batch will be bought this coming weekend for their trip to Vietnam for the Tet holiday.
One other purchase at Dan's Meats was black pudding which tasted also not too bad
