Phnom Penh, Cambodia News: A young woman was victim of a bag-snatching attack when she was riding home from work on her motorbike at 9:35pm on the 16th January 2019.
The 21-year-old factory worker was driving along the Russian Federation road in front of Phnom Penh International Airport, when a motorbike with three youths on it pulled alongside the woman, and one of the passengers grabbed her handbag. Lost materials include: 2 phones, more than $ 20, and some ATM cards. This stretch of road close to Phnom Penh International Airport is infamous for night-time bag-snatching of local and tourist victims alike.

Karma points to the police. Dont know how they do it but sometimes they are very good at their job.
Cambodia,,,, Don't fall in love with her.
Like the spoilt child she is, she will not be happy till she destroys herself from within and breaks your heart.

True. There have been quite a few bag snatchings reported on the road to the airport. Some foreigners in tuktuks, but also (Khmer) women alone on motorbikes.

Yuh, I wonder about this too coz I would have thought these snatchers are long gone after the incident.

The airport road is relatively pleasant. The areas to the north and south of it - like Boueng Kak and Tuk Tla and a lot of other areas, especially near the railway or swamps are not always that nice. You'll find some okay areas but there are still quite a few slums. I'd imagine Russian Federation Blvd is the nearest place to find a gormless foreign victim for a whole lot of aspiring muggers. It's easy enough for the police to stake out the main road but going off it could be troublesome.
Silence, exile, and cunning.

Yeah, it seems just a little too convenient. I mean EVERY TIME they want to catch the thieves they exactly where to find them. Hmmm...

Criminal are repeat offenders. Bag snatchers rarely snatch once. Crime also tends to run in families as well. Local cops know who the likely thieves are already.

After 11 pm that airport road is a nightmare....They stake out the intersections with a bike, make a phone call.....pull out with another bike and slow you down a couple of hundred metres up the road then a third bike that was waiting with the second attacks....often crashing you.....Seen it a dozen times especially just after the flyover that leads to Royal Phenh University...I carry a 10000 lumen torch and extendable baton....Hardly a copper in sight... easy to spot them when they do pass with their walky talkies blaring...
