Paddy Rice

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

Can anyone tell me somewhere else I can get a decent serving please?

It's not the beer batter that makes the fish good,,, it's the type of fish and where it's caught,,,, ocean salt water or the pond in the village.
Thanks for the the advice but it still doesn’t help me find an establishment serving decent fish n chips, if it’s true that Paddy Rice has really shut for good?

Plus it’s not just all about the fish. The chips have gotta be fat proper chips, never french fries! There must be malt vinegar, tartar sauce and mushy peas are always a nice addition. Paddys had it all plus a serving of bread and butter!
Sounds like a serving of heart attack waiting to happen lol jks.

:beer3: Door was open today and Chris the owner and his Manager were stripping the place,i have seen world cups in that bar, seen my team win twice this season in there, had g/friend from the staff,oh i will miss Paddy Rice.Fantastic name and i hope the name carries on elsewhere, the fish and chips were supreme, the scotch eggs a meal in it self and the Bubble and SQeak at breekie to die for,i for one will miss the place, wishing Chris and his staff all the best in the future. :beer2:

Wish they would put on a "closing party" in these places so we could say goodbye and give the owners a send off of sorts.
They could also tell us what happened ...............facts not rumour.
