Too many deaths already this year

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

Too many deaths already this year

Post by explorer »

I have not counted up the deaths so far this year, but it must be more than one per day.

Too many people are dying too young. The authorities dont want to investigate the causes of these deaths. So we dont know what can be done to prevent similar deaths in the future.

With the amount you have to say and expert advice rendered on multiple subjects wouldn't it be a better idea for you to start your own forum and an advice help line.

43 dead in ten days according to this. Making all drivers pass a driver's license could do something to reduce the number of deaths.

Might help if truck drivers and bus drivers did a driving test, plus attend some sort of defensive driving course. Not to mention random meth testing for bus and truck drivers.

99% of the people on the road here need a driving test and attitide adjustment to their driving.

Yuh, but aren't we all saying this with our western hats on as the benchmark? Sure, there's heaps of room for improvement but this is asia/kow.

Driving through a red light and not giving a fuck isn't a cultural thing, it's just being a selfish fuckwit
