Calling Kiwis - tickets PP to NZ ?
Re: Calling Kiwis - tickets PP to NZ ?
Air New Zealand run a web site called 'Grab A Seat'. It runs specials to the provinces in NZ. Dates change daily so keep an eye out.
Air NZ made a big profit this year and comments in media said it was mostly as a result of their high local fares where they have no competiton.

Ha, the last time I was in KL the new airport was still new and I thought it was tres the business. Halal goat curry and also a restaurant that had a dividing wall..1 side smoker, the other non smoker with a common kitchen out back...clever.Anchor Moy wrote:..Why is KL the pits? Do they have a 24/24 minimart ? Smoking rooms? That's about all I need, and somewhere to sleep probably.
Any airport is going to be a drag for 11h, but had 8h in Changi in March which was ok - comfortable seats where you can sleep, a cheap foodhall and a minimart.
What's that about a rebuild - maybe it'll be finished by the time I leave?
Takes a bit to beat Changi though.

Personally I like KLIA, but not the long runs when they have adjoining flights physically far apart on a short transit. A little like Changi.
Although the old LCCT is still operating for some flights, Air Asia 's LCCT2 opened a few months ago. I flew into there about one month ago and the terminal is BIG. Built to handle the growing travel trade for the next 20 plus years. More and better shops and resturants and plenty of seating . The workmanship on the finishing like painting is up to ''moto-dop'' standards and they lay a lot of second hand carpet which is stained and the edges are already frayed, where-as Changi ,,,, [ on my return trip ],,, in Singapore are ripping up good carpet and replacing it with newer carpet.
Cambodia,,,, Don't fall in love with her.
Like the spoilt child she is, she will not be happy till she destroys herself from within and breaks your heart.

Nothing is ever new enough or clean enough for Singapore but there's not much you can criticize about Changi, definitely one of the best. Flying through KL this time, but connection is fast - 2hrs instead of the 13 I expected - so hardly will have time to grab a smoke, let alone look around the airport.Duncan wrote: where-as Changi ,,,, [ on my return trip ],,, in Singapore are ripping up good carpet and replacing it with newer carpet.
