The gold 100 is actually shiny. Around the big blank space on the right it written “100 USA” multiple times all around that part. The gold bell changes to green and Franklin is slightly raised.

Anyone who can’t tell is a idiot, or Belgian.

Real notes have small strands of blue almost invisible. Real money smells like money! It’s an unmistakable odour. I love it!

Or, just feel the corrugations on Franklin's jacket.

Just put some cash in ABA. They count it, then feel and inspect it, count it again on the reverse, whilst popping off to do some other chores then put it though the machines multiple times. Take about 20 mins.
Then if you’re withdrawing money they do the above then the receiver also counts it, checks it and the machine counts it, removing and old or ripped notes.

It’s frustrating. I’ve never seen s counterfeit $ ever, apart from the obvious fakes.

Had one at a pub I frequented. One coke paid for $100. Girl says it’s fake he then kicks off saying she switched it. Owner gets involved and points to CCTV to view everything if needed. He then says it must be from the ATM (which utter rubbish. You can’t put fake money in ATMs much like the counting machines. Bit pointless otherwise. They scan the thickness and measure the security measures in light reflection.
So he paid with a $20, which begs the question why didn’t he use that before.

I heard westerners taking fake money but really. Have you just arrived in Cambodia? Why are you dealing with money. Was the tables or go save some rabid dog or cat.

Someone posted on Facebook yesterday about getting fake $100 from an ABA bank in Phnom Penh.

Don’t modern ATMs refuse counterfeit notes?
I’m sure my aunt said that when she worked for Deusche Bank. That was 15 years ago and the machine would reject any fake notes.

People with fake notes often try to cover their backs by saying something on social media. Or they’ve been scammed since removing the cash.

Just took out some cash from ABA counter (because non of the machines had any!) took 45 minutes. 30 mins waiting and 15 mins for her to count it, feel it front and back, go off to do something else then count it again!
Why do they always do that? Walk off and do something unrelated? Maybe she’s the senior assistant to the assistants manager.
