Can Love Change the World This New Year?
Can our love change the world?
In this new Information Age we face a stark choice, either we slide towards authoritarian censorship (and the silence that goes with it), or we create a better future. We need to insist that the media pay attention to Human Rights and International Law. Otherwise we are opting to accept a world in which our environment is dictated to us, and the information we have is not the truth, but a synthesis. Our safest choice isn't between a blue and a red pill, but to stay drug-free and informed.
The biggest revelations that we have today, after the shocking scandals that have rocked our reality, have come from leaks, and discussion of those leaks. Wikileaks has reshaped the world, with it's standards for moral-transparency.
His vision is the vision of a child, but the foresight of Julian Assange has changed our world. His love for us and his sacrifice are obvious, because now he is suffering.
Soon his physical strength will give out and he will be taken, bodily, and delivered to the a 'media circus' for ridicule, just as he who went before him was. Let's show our love in these final moments. Tonight when you are looking to the future for a better world, please join me in saying four words that can make a difference:
"Julian, I love you"
