26 Thai Get Deported for Online Scamming Via VOIP System
Phnom Penh, Cambodia News: On December 22, 2018, the investigation and procedure department (Immigration),cooperated with Thai police to deport 26 Thai nationals, including 9 women, to Thailand through Poipet border for online scamming via VOIP system.
The deportation follows the orders of the Ministry of Interior on November 27 and 29, 2018. The suspects were arrested on February 07, 2018, in Pong Peay village, Khan Sen Sok, Phnom Penh, and were sentenced for ten months in prison. Now that the sentence has been served, they will now be deported to Thailand.
