Underprivileged Cambodian Kids Successful Surgery in Bumrungrad Hospital Thailand
Phnom Penh-December 17th, 2018: Seven underprivileged Cambodian children, today, return to Cambodia after a successful heart operation in Thailand under Cambodia Healing Hearts Charity Project.
Cambodia Healing Hearts Charity Project is a project established with the objectives of using the expertise and resources of Bumrungrad International Hospital Thailand, to provide surgeries for underprivileged children in a neighboring country to treat congenital heart disease at no cost.
This project is the cooperation between Bumrungrad Hospital Foundation and Bumrungrad International Hospital, together with Royal Thai Embassy in Phnom Penh, Samdech Techo Young Doctor Association (TYDA), Calmette Hospital and Thai Air Asia.
One of the kids’ parents express the feeling that “We are really happy when I saw my kid healthy, refresh and become normal after the operation. Our kid now has a new life.”
The parents also stress about the services and the doctors of the hospital. They said that the hospital is very good. Doctors and nurses care about the patient, and always take turn to control the patient almost anytime.
“Great! Both medical services and hospital facilities. Doctors are friendly and compassionate care about patient. In terms of staying and meals during the period, they are also good.” In the recent years, Bumrungrad Hospital Foundation and Bumrungrad International Hospital extended the Healing Hearts Charity Project to help underprivileged kids in neighboring countries such as Myanmar, Vietnam and this year to Cambodia.
