British tourist found dead, possibly murdered, in Bangkok Hotel

Thailand is Cambodia's neighbor to the West, and this forum is dedicated to Thai news, stories, reviews, blogs, videos, Thai people and anything else related to the country. A lot of expats have both lived and worked in Cambodia and Thailand, and this area is a place to discuss all aspects of life in Thailand and what's going on there. Most topics are about Bangkok and Pattaya because of their larger populations of expatriates and tourists in those cities, but this is for all things Thai.

Bad light??? hey its Thailand

not to mention;
Farangs killing their thai wifes/gf's
Thai wifes/gf's killing their bf's/husbands
Farangs killing each other and cutting them to pieces
Fishermen being kidnapped and dumped at sea
Refugees being towed OUT to sea rather than being allowed to land on shore
Refuge camps being shelled on the Burmese border
in the 80's, Thai goverment, ( with US backing) giving the KR sanctuary.

and on and on
the thai news media doesn't cover anything up
BUT there are some things you CANT talk about here

Still even with all shit its a great, easy country to live in

It appears this story is completely censored in Thailand. There doesn't seem to be any mention of it in the Bangkok Post, the Nation/Thai Visa or Khaosod English.

Any further developments reported in the British press?

Family and friends on facebook are denying the allegations of foul play made by the British media. The guy was with his mates from home home they say. They want the speculation to stop.

If something like this happened in Australia, there would be a thorough investigation.

He died from something, and it appears he was robbed.

Even though it happened in Thailand, British police may investigate. I suspect his mates will be questioned by the British police when they return.

In Thailand, it is more important to present a good image of the country, than to investigate what may be a murder.
