After police questioning, and facing seven years in a Cambodian jail, the three suspects have admitted to using drugs, selling drugs to foreigners, and have given police the name of their supplier, a tuktuk driver named Chab Sameth.

Four charged with trafficking meth in Sihanoukville
Preah Sihanouk Provincial Court yesterday charged an Italian, a Swiss and two Cambodians for allegedly trafficking 46 packages of crystal meth in Sihanoukville on Sunday.
Brigadier General Sun Sophath, provincial anti-drug trafficking department chief, identified them as Andrea Gatto, 36, an Italian tourist, Patrick Scherrer, 31, a Swiss tourist, his Cambodian girlfriend Nuon Sreyrath, 27, and Chab Sameth, 37, a tuk-tuk taxi driver.
Brig Gen Sophath said they were charged with drug use and trafficking and face up to seven years in jail each if convicted. All four are now in prison pending trial.
He said that Mr Gatto, Mr Scherrer and Ms Sreyrath were arrested at about 3pm on Sunday after provincial anti-drug trafficking police raided their rental house in commune 2.
Brig Gen Sophath said that after their arrests, police seized 44 small packages of crystal methamphetamine weighing 7.32 grams, two drug scales, three phones and other drug paraphernalia from them.
He added that all three tested positive for drugs.
“During their interrogations the Italian and Swiss nationals and the Cambodian woman admitted committing the offence,” Brig Gen Sophath said. “The foreigners confessed that before their arrests, they had distributed drugs several times to foreign tourists in Sihanoukville.”
He noted that based on the three accused’s confessions provincial anti-drug trafficking police at about 6pm on Sunday arrested Mr Sameth, who sold the drugs to the foreigners, in commune 4.

We see this all the time on CEO news. Some little shithead gets caught stealing a bag or phone and the next thing is he admits to stealing 3 other bags and 2 other phones in 1985. On almost every crime. How and most importantly why?PhnomRon wrote: ↑Wed Dec 19, 2018 1:52 pmWhy the fuck would anyone confess to that? IMO no mystery. In this case, the police have said to the accused that they face seven years in a Cambodian jail, so if they want a reduced sentence then they will admit to whatever they are charged with and sign the police statement. You will get seven years for sure, or you could get off with three (for example.)This doesn't happen only in Cambodia btw.cambo swa wrote: ↑Wed Dec 19, 2018 2:40 pmWe see this all the time on CEO news. The accused were busted with a shitload of drugs and they can hardly plea that it's for personal use. They are only confessing to the obvious. The chances of a topgun lawyer getting the accused off on a technicality is about minus zero, unless they have a huge bank account somewhere.
Why fk with the police when they are holding all the cards ?
