When you log in, there is a box to tick to 'hide your online status'. Meaning that if you tick that box then your name won't show as being online.
E.G. "In total there are 1692 users online :: 63 registered, 4 hidden". Four members currently online are hidden.
I realise that UT, my point being that their avatar showed online, but the bottom section didn't show there names.
GM, refreshed and also opened a new page so I could compare. Same result. Avatar shows online, bottom list doesn't show their name.
Just noticed it and was simply curious as to why is all.

It was simply something I noticed and was curious about. If you think that means I have serious mental issues, that's up to you. Lucky for you too that it is only 9.45am and not 9.45pm and I have had my first cup of coffee already. I normally don't put up with personal attacks from complete idiots, but I will make an exception this time because you are obviously just a misguided child with one of those new syndrome thingies. Stay on your medication child and life could be close to normal for you.

If they were using socks, then the User (not the sock) wouldn't show as being online because they are logged in as socks. The sock would show as online.

Yeah, thats pretty much what I thought mate. Just interested as to why one shows me as online and the other doesn't? I would have thought if the avatar showed me online, then it would down the bottom also. No big deal,I just happened to notice the difference last night and was curious as to why.
