I certainly didn't have to fill out additional forms as an Australian - although something becomes clearer. I was unable to open an account with any bank in PP except Canadia without a current employment contract, which I imagine is then linked back to the US system for tax purposes. I could not understand this at the time, as Khmer are not normally that passionate about, well, anything, but they were sticking to their guns despite the large (to them) wad of US $$ I was wanting to deposit. Or am I overthinking this?
