Koh Kong to Srae Ambel Rt48

I read parts of Rt48 were washed away during the wet season, and the authorities are working to fix it all in time for the Sea Festival to be held in Koh Kong in December.

Has anyone done this route in the last week, and if so, how were the road conditions ?

Not in the last week, but two and four weeks ago. So, not necessarily relevant. When it's dry it's not too bad. It also depends what your vehicle is, I was in a Toyota truck, it was a slow uncomfortable trip, at one point we got passed by a Barang on a Honda xr and he was loving life, flying over the tops of the washboard sections.
The road is fully paved all the way, except where it isn't. You have sections of mud, dirt, and potholes. Towards the north end once you hit the mountains beware of good areas of road that suddenly become sharp edged holes.
