Planes on the menu.
It's certainly not everyone's idea of a relaxing way to pass an hour or two while eating a meal, but personally I like the idea of watching an assortment of low-flying aircraft passing regularly at close quarters while I'm sat having lunch. Ko Lanta Restaurant sits a few hundred metres from Suvarnabhumi Airport.

Whilst eating meatballs at IKEA in Tempe, Sydney you can enjoy a good view of planes landing at Sydney Airport.
I like watching A380s take off because they really lumber into the air, like an elephant taking flight.

On the beach in Nice, enjoying carpaccio and a nice red, watching arrivals and departures... almost therapeutic.

You need to keep a firm grip on your wine at St Martin if you watch the planes landing.
